nusa Two-Factor Authentication – Secure Account Access
Two-factor authentication (2FA) on our nusa platform adds a second verification step whenever you log in or request a withdrawal, protecting your account even if someone learns your password. We support two common 2FA methods: SMS codes sent to your registered phone number, and authenticator apps that generate time-based codes on your device.

Our nusa team recommends enabling 2FA during account setup, before you fund your account with DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, or bank transfers. This guide walks through how to activate 2FA on nusa, troubleshoot common issues, and recover access if you lose your phone or authenticator device.
Why nusa Requires Two-Factor Authentication
Password theft remains a significant security risk. Even if you create a strong password, a compromised email or reused credential across multiple websites can expose your nusa account. Two-factor authentication on our nusa platform prevents unauthorised access by requiring a second form of proof—either a code from your phone or an authenticator app—in addition to your password.
Our nusa users in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang, and Yogyakarta benefit from 2FA when protecting accounts funded through QRIS, e-wallets, or bank virtual accounts. If someone gains access to your password, they cannot withdraw your funds or change your account settings without the second verification step.
Enabling 2FA on our nusa account takes minutes and requires no additional hardware beyond your phone. You choose between SMS delivery and an authenticator app; both methods are equally secure. We recommend authenticator apps for users who switch phones frequently, as SMS codes depend on your phone number remaining linked to your account.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication on nusa
Our nusa account settings menu includes a security section where you can enable 2FA. To begin, log into your nusa account, navigate to Account Settings, and select Security or Two-Factor Authentication depending on your interface version.
SMS-based 2FA
SMS 2FA on our nusa platform sends a code to your registered phone number each time you log in or request a withdrawal. Our system prompts you to enter the code before granting access. This method requires no additional app installation and works on any phone that receives SMS messages. However, SMS delivery can be delayed during network congestion, and changing your phone number requires notifying our nusa team.
Authenticator app 2FA
Authenticator apps (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) generate a time-based code on your device that refreshes every 30 seconds. When you enable authenticator 2FA on our nusa account, we provide a QR code that you scan with your authenticator app. The app then displays a six-digit code that you enter into nusa to confirm setup. Future logins will require the current code from your authenticator app.

2FA is active on your nusa accountComplete
Your nusa account now requires 2FA on every login and withdrawal request. Deposits via QRIS, e-wallet, mobile banking, or bank transfer are unaffected.
- Backup codes
- Our nusa platform generates a list of single-use codes during 2FA setup. Each code bypasses the usual 2FA step if your phone is unavailable. Store them offline in a secure location.
- Code expiration
- SMS codes from our nusa platform expire after a few minutes; authenticator codes refresh every 30 seconds. Always enter codes promptly to avoid delays.
- Account recovery
- If you lose access to your 2FA device, our nusa support team can help you regain entry after identity verification. Contact us with your registered email and proof of identity.
2FA and your nusa payment flow
Two-factor authentication on our nusa platform applies to logins and withdrawal requests, but not deposits. When you fund your account using local payment, online payment, e-wallet, or any e-wallet, our nusa system does not require a 2FA code because the payment gateway handles its own verification. However, when you request a withdrawal back to your original payment method, our nusa platform will prompt for your 2FA code before processing the request. This ensures that only you can move funds out of your account.
Tips, Troubleshooting, and Account Recovery
Our nusa users frequently encounter common 2FA issues during setup or recovery. If you cannot receive SMS codes, check that your phone number is correctly registered on your nusa account. SMS delivery can be slower during high-traffic periods, particularly around major events like Piala Indonesia or Liga 1 matches. If a code does not arrive within a few minutes, contact our nusa support team to verify your phone number and re-send the code.
If you are locked out of your nusa account because you cannot access your 2FA device, use one of your backup codes instead. On the 2FA prompt screen, look for a "use backup code" or "recovery code" option. Enter one of your stored codes to log in. Each backup code works only once; our nusa system marks it as used after you enter it. Once you regain access, you can update your 2FA settings to link a new device.
Our nusa support team can assist with account recovery if you lose all backup codes and cannot access your 2FA device. They will ask you to verify your identity using your registered email address and a government ID. Processing recovery requests may take one business day, so we strongly encourage saving backup codes immediately after enabling 2FA.
If you plan to change your phone number, update it on your nusa account before your old phone becomes inactive. Our nusa system allows you to change your registered phone number in Account Settings. After updating, SMS 2FA codes will route to your new number. If you are switching authenticator apps, disable the old app from your nusa security settings, then re-enable 2FA and scan the new QR code with your new authenticator app.
Practical notes for nusa users
Two-factor authentication on our nusa platform is optional but strongly recommended. Users who manage accounts with regular withdrawals—especially during holiday periods such as Idul Fitri or Idul Adha when banking delays are common—benefit from 2FA because it prevents unauthorised withdrawal attempts while your account is dormant. Even if someone gains temporary access to your nusa login, they cannot move your funds without your 2FA code.
Our nusa platform does not charge a fee for enabling or using 2FA. It adds no cost to deposits via QRIS, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, or e-wallet, and does not affect your withdrawal processing time. Enable 2FA during account setup, save your backup codes in a secure location, and update your phone number whenever you change devices. These simple steps keep your nusa account secure for years to come.
